質問があれば、お気軽に問い合わせてください。日本語で、できるかぎり返事をします！ Back now to support curious creations and creatures that explore the mystic - the Arcane. こんにちは、my name is Jack and I am a nonsense writer and illustrator from England, based in Japan. Thank you for taking a moment to explore and support my latest art project. This project is inspired by whimsical anthropomorphic animals and the merging of playing cards and Tarot . (A portion of all my profit post funding goes to supporting animal welfare causes - read below) Two versions of playing cards, one version of Tarot - all draped with elegance Over 80 hand-illustrated, fully-custom pieces of artwork in all. Limited Edition print runs Playing cards arrived in Europe in the late 1300s, travelling from Asia through the Islamic world. They quickly spread, evolving into the familiar suited decks we love today. I took inspiration from their journey and the cultures they passed through. Tarot cards appeared in northern Italy in the mid-1400s as a variation of playing cards, created for a game with extra illustrated trump cards. Their use for symbolism and divination came several centuries after - becoming one of the best tools for divination and meditation. With this project, I want to celebrate both of these journeys.
